One week ago, was Lima Christian School’s 2022 Benefit Auction.
Historically, the auction has been our school’s largest fundraising event of the year, but this time we set a record.
In fact, through your support and God’s amazing provision, we shattered previous records. The 2022 Auction raised $52,643.63. It was an 87 percent increase over our 2021 event and a nearly $15,000 increase over our previous record, which was set in 2017.
Lima Christian families, alumni, faculty, staff, friends, and the business community came together to make the auction the tremendous success that it was. The Teitsworth family’s RTI Auctions has been pivotal in the growth of the event, not the least of which was the addition of an online auction this year. Whether you donated an item, sponsored an ad, shared a social media post, placed a bid, baked a potato, volunteered for childcare, or lifted a prayer, you are partners in this provision.
As Theresa Dils, secretary of the LCS Board, recently reminded members of the Board, we should not be surprised by these results. Some years ago, the Board began praying for a $50,000 event. At the time, we were believing God for what seemed like a big goal. Yet, only a few years later, the Lord has heard and graciously answered that request.
Lima Christian is financially assisting more families than ever before. So, thank you for your part in making sure that our school has all the resources it needs to continue providing students with an excellent, Christ-centered education.
Psalm 66:5 says, “Come and see what God has done: He is awesome in his deeds.” At Lima Christian School, we have certainly experienced that reality. Now, we cannot help but wonder what God wants to do in and through our school next.
