Lima Christian School is ACSI certified, which allows us to encourage continued professional learning and effectiveness among our faculty. Just as we encourage our students to be life-long learners, we want to set the same example as their teachers and leaders. Several of our teachers have recently completed or are working on Master’s degrees or ACSI certification to further their studies. As an ACSI school, teaching applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited ACSI-approved or recognized college or university. Applicants should also have or be willing to complete additional training in the Christian philosophy of education, formal Bible instruction, and appropriate teacher or administrator training.

Part Time: In House Substitute

Essential Job Functions:

The substitute must demonstrate strong communication and classroom management skills to support student learning.   Additionally, experience implementing lesson plans (provided by the classroom teacher) and facilitating student completion of classwork is preferred.  The substitute should display professionalism and a willingness to perform tasks as necessary in order to support the day to day activities of the school program.  The substitute teacher should be prepared to fill in for other duties as needed (recess, dismissal, homeroom etc.).  It is an expectation that the substitute teacher will complete all training assigned as needed.

Hours:                                     8:00-3:00pm Monday-Friday

Compensation:                        Minimum wage/hourly

The curriculum of Lima Christian School places God in the center of all things (Colossians 2:3; Proverbs 1:7). Lima Christian School exists to support parents in the training of their children in the truth of God as revealed through Scripture. 

Part-Time: Remedial Specialist/Teacher

Job Title:                        Part time Remedial Specialist
Credentials:                  NYS teaching certificate
Education:                    Master Degree in Education

Experience Required: Math and Writing Support or Special Education experience preferred

Essential Job Functions:

The teacher will be responsible for providing math support for students in grades K-12. Remediation would focus on closing learning gaps evident in student current skill level.  Additionally the teacher would be responsible to support student skills in writing for grades 6-12.  Collaboration with teachers on content of lessons and activities is a must.  Other responsibilities include the following:  maintaining progress records for students, regular communication with classroom teachers and parents, and attending relevant RTI meetings, parent conferences, etc. as needed.  It is expected that the Remedial Specialist will complete all training as assigned.

Hours:                                     3 full days a week

Lima Christian is always accepting applications for Per Diem Substitutes. Athletic Coaches

Coaching candidates should download the Coach Application Packet, print, complete, and send it to Athletic Director. You may drop the application off in the LCS main office. You may also submit the application electronically. If mailing the packet, please use the address at the top of the page.
