Director of International Student Program & 504 Plan Coordinator
Cathy Gretzinger is a graduate of Valparaiso University with a BS in Nursing. She served in the Air Force and hospital settings, as well as in home care and group homes. She has worked part time or as a sub at LCS since 2011.
Sue Herring received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Houghton College. Mrs. Herring has been employed by LCS since 2013.
ISP Activities and Home Stay Coordinator
Genevieve is a Lima Christian School aluma and has a degree in Biblical Studies and Missions from Elim Bible Institute in Lima, NY. She is a pastor's wife and a mom of four including an International student from China. Genevieve has worked at LCS since 2017.
John Reese earned his BA in English and Media and Society from Hobart College in 2003. He has worked at LCS since 2017.
Patty Pragle earned her AAS degree from Monroe Community College where she studied in the Legal Administrative Assistant program. Mrs. Pragle has served on the LCS school board as the secretary. She has been employed at LCS since 2015.
Kelsie Forte is a Lima Christian School graduate (Class of 2007). She received her Bachelor's degree from Empire State College in Child Psychology and her Master's degree from Liberty University in Marriage and Family Counseling. She has been employed at LCS since 2018.
Network Administrator, Biology (10th), Yearbook
Jerry Thompson has a Bachelor’s degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Cornell University and an Associate’s degree in Biology from Rochester Institute of Technology. Mr. Thompson has been employed at LCS since 2003.
Michael Burns earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from SUNY Geneseo, and a Masters Degree/Teacher Certification in Physical Education from SUNY Brockport. He has worked in Education for 37 years, 20 as a teacher, and 17 as an Athletic Director/Administrator.
Mary Tripiciano, BSN, holds a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Nursing from the University of Rochester and has her EMT-B certification. Mrs. Tripiciano is working on her Master’s degree at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, NY. She has been employed at LCS since 1994.
Danielle McCarty earned her Bachelor’s degree from Houghton College and her Master’s degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. She has been working at LCS since 2015.
ESL I & II, ESL Bible, ISP Academic Advisor
Vicky comes to us with a Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from SUNY Geneseo. In her work as a Speech Pathologist and Language Specialist, she has had the opportunity to work with high school students who had learning difficulties in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. We know that her expertise in these areas will greatly benefit our international students.
Spanish 1A (7th), Spanish 1B (8th), Spanish 2 (9th), Spanish 3 (10th)
Esther teaches middle school and high school Spanish, and she also oversees and teaches in the elementary Spanish program at LCS. She spent most of her childhood in Spain, as a child of missionaries, and is fluent in Spanish. She is passionate about teaching her students excellent Spanish communication skills. Esther has been teaching at LCS since 2019.
Physical Education K-12
Valerie Coykendall has a Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Education and Physical Education from SUNY Cortland and SUNY Brockport. Coach Coykendall holds a Master’s degree in Community Health Education from Florida State University. Coach Val has been at LCS since 2001.
Vocal Music K-12
Christine Drew has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Roberts Wesleyan College. She has been employed at LCS since 2015.
Dawn Todd graduated from Northland Baptist Bible College with a major in Bible and Elementary Education. Mrs. Todd has been teaching fifth grade at Lima Christian since 2017.
Global I & II, Participation in Government, Economics
Lyn will be teaches Global 9 and 10, American History, and Participation in Government and Economics. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in history from Houghton College as well as experience teaching history in the Lyons Central School District. Lyn believes that teaching at LCS will allow her to share what God has put on her heart as she relates it to life and the subject matter.
Michelle Garlock has her Associate’s degree in Art from Finger Lakes Community College. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy from The College of New Rochelle and her Master’s degree in Education Administration from SUNY Brockport. Mrs. Garlock has been working at LCS since 2015.
English 11, Fundamentals of Writing 12, British Literature
Kelly Wendlandt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Bradley University, a Master’s degree in Special Education from Roberts Wesleyan College, and 7-12 NYS ELA Certification. She serves as LCS Curriculum Coordinator and teaches AP English Literature, English 12, Fundamentals of Writing and Composition 101.
Seventh & Eight Grade English, Study Skills and High School Health
Kristi Werner double majored in Elementary Education and Bible and received her degree from Houghton College. Mrs. Werner began teaching at LCS in 1992. She is the Middle School English Teacher, teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade English.
Beth Long is a graduate of Houghton College with a major in Elementary Education and Psychology. Mrs. Long holds a Master’s degree from the University of Kentucky in Elementary Counseling. Mrs. Long has been teaching at LCS since 1997.
Grade 1, Mentors for Minis
Jenn Myles graduated from Cortland State College with a major in Elementary Education. Mrs. Myles holds a Master’s degree from SUNY Geneseo as a Reading Specialist K-12. Mrs. Myles has been teaching at LCS since 2009.
Lori Ann Preuss
Lori Preuss received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Valparaiso University in Elementary Education. She worked teaching second grade at Lima Christian School between September 1990-December 1994 and recently returned this September 2019. She has taught in Michigan and New York for 17 years.
Bible 6, Bible 7, History 6-8, History 11
Craig Welker earned his B.S. in Elementary Education from SUNY Oneonta with a concentration on History. He also has his Masters in Literacy Education from Nazareth College. Mr. Welker taught Middle School History and Science for 13 years at Webster Christian School before joining the LCS faculty in 2016.
Mr. Tripiciano is a Cum Laude graduate of the State University College at Fredonia where he also received his master’s degree. He has been a band director in the public and Christian schools for forty five years. He has served as a guest conductor for All County and All State bands. In addition to winning many 1st place awards, his bands have played for halftime for the Buffalo Bills, won a state championship and performed for the president.

Mindy Christa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and Math from Houghton College. Mrs. Christa holds a Master’s degree in Math Education from SUNY Brockport. Mrs. Christa has been at LCS since 2009.
Jeanna Vogt received her Bachelor’s degree in Childhood and Special Education from SUNY Geneseo. She is pursuing her Master’s degree as a Reading Specialist from Liberty University. Mrs. Vogt has been with LCS since 2007.
Algebra 9, Geometry, Algebra II/Trigonometry, Chinese 101
Trina Settle has a Bachelor of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Biomedical Engineering. She served with her family in China as a missionary. She has been with LCS since 2016.
Dr. Verginia Zocco
Dr. Verginia Zocco teaches 9th, 10th, and 11th grade English. She holds a Doctor of Educational Leadership and Management Degree from Capella University and is an Online Educator for Literacy for Regis University. Dr. Zocco is excited to be part of our team and sees the value of being a part of students’ lives as they grow socially, academically, and personally, and as they find God in all things.
Science 6 and 8, Earth Science, Consumer Math
Diane Adams holds Associate’s degrees from Monroe Community College in Science and Business. Mrs. Adams has a Bachelor’s of Science with a major in Geology from SUNY Fredonia. Mrs. Adams has been at LCS since 1999.
Calculus I & II, Chemistry, AP Physics, Pre Calculus, Statistics
Eileen Minter, Ph.D, attended the University of Massachusetts for her undergraduate and graduate studies. Dr. Minter has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Her Master’s degree and Ph.D are in Polymer Science and Engineering.
Sharon Nitsch holds an Associate’s degree in Business from Monroe Community College Central City Business Institute. She hosts the National Honor Society reception as well as many other functions. Mrs. Nitsch has been at LCS since 1994.
Tom Michel has his training as a plumber through the Plumber’s Union. He has been at LCS for 16 years.
Dave Dils earned an Associate’s Degree from Finger Lakes Community College in Architectural Design. He also holds Journeyman’s papers for Carpentry. Mr. Dils has been employed with LCS since 2013.
Jason J. McGuire - Chairman
Jason is the President of New Yorker’s Family Research Foundation. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Andersonville Theological Seminary in Camilla, GA, and Pastoral Ministry, Davis College, Johnson City, NY. Jason has 3 children that attend LCS.

Nathan currently serves as a Teacher Pastor at Elim Gospel Church and as a Faculty member of Elim Bible Institute and College. He earned a Ministry Diploma from Elim Bible Institute, a Master of Arts in Practical Theology from Regent University, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Northeastern Seminary. Nathan is a 1992 graduate of LCS and has two daughters who currently attend LCS.
Ken has been married to Leslie since 1993 and was born in 1968. They have four children: Weston, Abby, Lila and Megan. Ken is an RN at the Thompson Hospital Emergency Department. He is a former missionary to Brazil and stays involved through Project Amazon. Ken and Leslie attend Grace Life Church in Avon.
James Schwartz is a retired Professor of Education, most recently teaching at St. John Fisher College. He earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University at Buffalo, and his MS and BS at SUNY Geneseo. His twin daughters graduated from LCS in 1999. He taught at LCS from 1982 to 1990, and Elaine, his wife, taught English at LCS for many years. Three of their grandchildren currently attend LCS.
Theresa is a Lima Baptist Church member who is involved in Children’s Church and Summer’s Best Two Weeks Mini Camp. Mrs. Dils is a graduate of Hougton College with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from Mercyhurst University. Mrs. Dils has been a Special Education teacher since 1997. She has two children enrolled at LCS and hosts an international student.
