Position Overview

Lima Christian is hiring for full and part-time elementary teachers for the fall. You will plan and teach engaging lessons aligned with NY State Standards and Lima Christian School Student Expected Outcomes. Working from an established curriculum, you’ll have the freedom to make it your own while creating a nurturing environment that promotes academic, social, and spiritual growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver personalized, faith-integrated instruction
Create a supportive classroom environment conducive to learning
Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress
Collaborate with LCS staff to meet school-wide curriculum goals
Foster each student’s academic and spiritual development

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field
Strong writing and communication skills
Heart for Christian education and biblical worldview integration

Preferred:

Master’s degree in education
Technology proficiency and classroom experience
Progress toward state teacher certification (Elementary Teacher grades 1-6) and/or ACSI certification

Custodian

Position Overview

You will care for one assigned section of the Lima Christian School building, keeping classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas clean, safe, and welcoming for the students and staff who fill them each morning. This work happens after the school day, and you will work from a clear daily, weekly, and monthly checklist that tells you exactly what a finished section looks like.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily:

Empty garbage in classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, the kitchen, and the copy room
Vacuum carpets, sweep or dry mop tile floors, and wet mop restroom, kitchen, and lunchroom floors
Wipe down high-touch surfaces such as door handles, desks, railings, light switches, and drinking fountains
Clean and restock restrooms

Weekly:

Dust open surfaces such as shelves and heat runs, and clear cobwebs from corners
Wet mop all tile and laminate floors and vacuum carpeted classrooms
Clear off lockers, wipe out kitchen microwaves, and clean blinds

Monthly:

Wash restroom walls and the walls around door frames
Vacuum under heaters and inside vents with a nozzle attachment

Qualifications

Required:

Dependability and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Attention to detail and consistency in following a written checklist
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies
Safe and appropriate use of cleaning products and equipment
Successful completion of the background check required of all school employees

Preferred:

Previous custodial or facilities experience, ideally in a school or church setting

Position Overview

You will serve as a transformational leader who guides student athletes to achieve excellence in skill, discipline, sportsmanship, and citizenship. You will oversee all aspects of the team program, coordinate with assistant coaches, and serve as a mentor and advocate for your student athletes both on and off the field.

Key Responsibilities:

Organize and coordinate all aspects of the team program, including practice schedules, competitions, and team events
Develop comprehensive practice programs that build fundamental skills, tactical knowledge, and team chemistry
Recruit, train, and delegate responsibilities to assistant coaches to ensure consistent program excellence
Model and mentor values of sportsmanship, citizenship, and teamwork, emphasizing the integration of faith and athletic development
Maintain appropriate supervision of student athletes during practices, competitions, locker rooms, and away contests
Serve as primary liaison with parents and families, communicating regularly about team progress, expectations, and student athlete well-being
Manage all team equipment and uniforms, ensuring proper maintenance, inventory, and organization
Maintain individual and team statistics and records for performance analysis and player development
Drive school van for away contests as needed, ensuring safe and reliable transportation

Qualifications

Strong Christian faith and commitment to biblical worldview integration
Completion of coaching certification requirements (or willingness to pursue)
Successful previous coaching experience and/or significant playing experience in the sport
Comprehensive knowledge of sport fundamentals, rules, regulations, and competitive strategies
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive school van for away contests
Successful completion of the background check required of all employees and volunteers
