Statement of Faith

Section 1. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God as originally written, and holds final authority in the lives of individuals, the church, and society. 2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16.

Section 2. We believe that the Godhead consists of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14. Three in One and One in Three. Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29.

Section 3. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, His miracles, His death on the cross to provide our redemption, in His bodily resurrection, and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and present ministry of intercession for us. John 1:1; Matthew 1:23; 1 Peter 3:18; 1 Corinthians 15:4; Mark 16:19.

Section 4. We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit, that He performs the miracle of new birth in an unbeliever and indwells believers, enabling them to live a godly life. Galatians 5:22,23; 1 Corinthians 2:10-11; 1 Corinthians 12:11-13; Ephesians 4:30; Titus 3:5; Galatians 5:16.

Section 5. We believe in salvation through the redeeming blood of Christ. Hebrews 9:22; 1 Corinthians 11:25; Romans 5:9.

Section 6. We believe in the keeping power of God and a holy walk, not after the flesh but after the Spirit. Jude 24; Romans 8:4.

Section 7. We believe in Christ’s imminent personal return in power and great glory, in His millennial reign and in His everlasting dominion. Acts 1:11; Revelation 20:4; Daniel 7:14.

Section 8. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal punishment. John 5:28, 29; Revelation 20:15.

Section 9. We believe that as Christians our lives should reflect the salvation that we have received freely, and therefore our lives should be marked with evangelistic and missionary fervor—a passion to share the love and message of Jesus Christ with all who do not yet know Him. Acts 1:8; Mark 16:15-18; Matthew 28:18-20.

NOTE: The above Tenets of Faith do not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe (see Section 1). For purposes of Crossroads Church and Lima Christian School’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our Officers are the final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
